5 Daily Grounding Rituals You Can Do in Under 2 Minutes

Grounding doesn’t have to be a long spiritual practice. In fact, the most effective grounding rituals are the ones you can return to throughout the day even when you’re busy, stressed, or overwhelmed. Here are five simple grounding rituals you can do in under two minutes, anytime you need to reconnect with yourself.
1. Grounding Jewelry and One Deep Breath
This is the simplest ritual.
Place your fingers on a grounding necklace, mala, bracelet, or ring. Feel the temperature, texture, and shape. Bring yourself back to the present moment. Inhale deeply through your nose, and exhale slowly through your mouth.
This physical anchor interrupts thoughts and reminds you to come back to the present moment.
2. Name Three Things You Can See Around You, Or Feel
This technique is used to bring you back to the experiences you are having in this very moment. You can try it with sight, but you can also use any other sense, like smell, touch and maybe even taste.
Name three things in your surrounding and acknowledge what feelings come up. Try to point to things that make you feel grounded.
By shifting from thinking to sensing, you move out of anxiety and into the present moment.
3. Look up
This is a bit of a strange one, but often when we are in our thoughts we have our heads down, when we look up we see how vast life is and it can be very grounding.
Look for some clouds, or maybe some birds, see if you can see a plane.
It is a very simple way to raise your vibration.
4. Mantra
Some mantra's that speak to you can be profound reminders to stay grounded. Here are some examples.
“Happiness is in the present.”
“You are not your thoughts.”
“I am whole.”
“We are all one.”
5. Visualize Energy Flowing Into Your Jewelry
Objects carry intentional meaning and even emotional energy. You can use your jewelry to give it positive energy or even absorb negative energy. Whether you believe this is true or not, it can be a nice way to release or absorb energy.
Grounding rituals don’t have to be complicated. The more accessible they are, the more likely you are to use them and the more impact they’ll have on your emotional well-being.
